On this project I was asked to remove the cement mortar and re point with a lime mortar. The client also asked for the chimney height to be extended. The photos here show before and after and a couple of close ups of the lime mortar pointing.
The new thatch was undertaken by Nick Lovell Master Thatcher

On this job IÂ had to rake out the cement mortar and re point using a lime mortar. Also remove the masonry paint from the lower right side of the property. which turned out to have a cement render underneath that proved very difficult to remove.
